Fourth Feathers TV: Gallery as a neighbourhood model.
Exhibition / Public Program
Since 2013 I have been collaborating with the Showroom Gallery and Fourth Feathers Youth and Community Centre on the project Fourth Feathers TV (FFTV).
After initiating the project as an open, neighbourhood-based TV station inviting members and visitors of the community centre to join Take Over proposed to transform the space of the gallery into a site-specific, dynamic and interactive model practically addressing current questions of local access and housing.
Asking how the potential of a locally run TV station can be considered for community action Take Over proposed an artistic and informal learning platform inviting to take part in a series of workshops in an open studio environment.
Take Over proposed a space to explore methods of co-research and artistic investigation and art practice as a question of privilege, access and infrastructure.
